She grew up in an improper Southern household outside Birmingham, Alabama, and now lives northeast of Atlanta with her college-sweetheart husband, two teenage kids, a pit bull who thinks she hung the moon, and three cats who tolerate her.

A lifelong reader and writer, Kenzie spent years as her household’s chief wrangler before the characters in her head staged a full mutiny and demanded their stories be told. She’s been writing monster, paranormal, and sci-fi romance ever since.

When she’s not plotting fictional chaos, she can be found drinking far too much Diet Coke, hoarding books, and firmly believing that most problems can be solved with the right story—and a monster who knows how to grovel.
